Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting social interaction and communication. Autistic people may display differences in tone of voice, facial expressions, gestures and eye contact. Challenges can include recognising emotions in oneself and others, feeling overwhelmed in social situations, gauging personal space, and taking appropriate turns in conversations. In addition, autism is characterised by restricted and repetitive behaviours. 

We offer private autism assessments for adults and children aged six and over. Firstly, we send out a series of pre-assessment questionnaires, followed by an online interview via our secure video portal, and an online ADOS-informed observational assessment. A full diagnostic report is supplied, complete with aftercare recommendations. A post-diagnostic online session is carried out after all child ASD assessments.

If you suspect that both ADHD and autism might be a possibility, a combined ADHD/ASD assessment is important to ensure that a full and accurate picture of the individual’s neurodivergence is understood. There are numerous overlaps, nuances and interconnections between these two conditions, and it can be the case that characteristics of one may mask the other.
